Allan has been Chairman of the ‘Players’ for several years, this year 2011 being his seventh. Like most people who become involved in ‘am-dram’ he started by helping out with set building and scenery painting before being persuaded to tread the boards as part of the chorus. Since those days he has appeared in many plays and pantomimes and in more recent times has taken up writing and directing. He considers his greatest achievement to be being nominated for and winning awards for ‘Best Original Pantomime’ and ‘Best Director’.
