Nancy
Marshall
- 1st August 2011
Nancy moved to Roadwater in 2005 and within weeks was set upon by Allan Prentice in his
capacity of Players' recruitment agent. Having been a regular theatre-goer in her previous life she was
delighted to get involved in an amateur dramatic society, but discovered total stage fright on getting close up and
has resolutely stuck to back stage activities. The first was a touring Shakespeare production directed by the
legendary Sefton Park where her main attribute was an estate car that could carry all the props, sound and
lighting equipment. Over the last few years Nancy has been involved in all the pantomimes and some of the plays,
variously pulling the curtain, doing props, acting as stage manager or producer. She sees herself as the
society's gofer and is happy to keep it that way! Nancy took on the role of Treasurer in 2008 was
pleased to be in the role during a period where the Player's finances were healthy enough to finance the recent
investment in new lighting equipment. In 2011 she stood down as Treasurer and was elected Secretary.
