Panto 2009 - 'Aladdin'

Well this years panto was a roaring success. Well done to Allan and his team for putting on a great show. We had good sized audiences all week, and they were treated to the usual high standard of acting, singing and dancing, not to mention the superb Passmore special effects!

We are still awaiting the adjudication of this show which has been held up for various reasons. As soon as it becomes available we will make sure those that need a copy will get one.

Somerset Fellowship of Drama Website

The Fellowship has a new website up and running. It looks pretty good and will be very useful for members and non members alike. There is still some bits to be completed on the site, but you may find it worth having a look. Below is a link to the new site and I will also put a link to it on this website's links page for future reference;

Child Protection Policy

After much deliberation on this issue over the past few months the following child protection statement has been formulated; a copy of which will be handed to all parents and carers for each production with a return tear off slip, and will be incorporated into our rules.

"When young persons (under the age of 16), or vulnerable persons, are taking part in auditions, rehearsals or productions there will be a minimum of two adults (over 18) with them at all times. They will be supervised during these times and the Health and Safety rules of the Hall will be explained to them. The director of the production will be responsible for informing parents/carers of rehearsal and performance times. It is the responsibility of the parents/carers of young or vulnerable persons to ensure their safe arrival at and departure from auditions , rehearsals and productions. Should any concerns arise the committee undertakes to address them as a matter of urgency"
